2My Best Available Rate is $ 74 and the guest gave me a $ 50.00 eHOTELPASS. How does this work?
It’s a simple calculation. You first calculate the total charge for the room night(s). Then you accept the voucher for $ 50.00 and charge the rest to the client directly via Credit Card or cash.
FOR EXAMPLE:
$ 74 + 13% tax (tax percentage is an example only)
= $ 83.62 Room Rate
-$ 50.00 eHOTELPASS payment
= $ 33.62 Charge to the Credit card / Cash
When purchased, the client/guest received a 10 – 15% discount on the voucher value. Your payment for the voucher is 75% of the voucher value, which equals to a 25% discount. If part of the rate is paid in cash/credit card, the discount you are providing is lowered by that amount.
$ 83.62 Room Rate
-$ 37.50 payment from voucher @ 75%
-$ 33.62 payment by Credit Card
=$ 12.50 discount on EHOTELPASS payment
= 14.95% discount only instead of 25%

3How does the payment process work?
When the guest holding an eHOTELPASS voucher arrives at your hotel, your front-desk employee will check that the voucher is valid and holds the value which is printed on the eHOTELPASS. This validity check will be performed via out website www.ehotelpass.com. Then, the payment/reimbursement process is also managed through our website, www.ehotelpass.com/hotels/payment. You will need your banks’ merchant account number and the eHOTELPASS payment code in order to get paid. It’s as easy as a credit card payment.

4How and which rates does the guest book?
The client makes his reservation directly with your hotel via phone or your property website, via the brand website, or via a central reservations phone number. The eHOTELPASS is the payment option on Best Available or Rack Rate. No other discount should be necessary or is up to the hotels discretion. Also, no reservations through 3rd party websites or other travel agents are accepted.

5Our hotel used to participate in other voucher programs and we had problems with the administration and it took a long time to receive payment.
eHOTELPASS is very easy to administrate. The voucher holds a payment code which can be used like a credit card and you receive payment immediately. There is no need to send back the voucher, write an invoice or any other form of administration. eHOTELPASS took the advantages of the old voucher programs and applied today’s technology.
